Ten years building software
that actually ships

We started Mindshine because we'd had enough of consultancies that counted hours instead of shipping software. Ten years later, that's still the thing we get annoyed about.

How we got here

Mindshine started in 2014. The founders had spent years inside enterprise software projects that failed in the same ways: scope that crept because nobody pushed back, communication that looked like agility but was just confusion, technical debt that got handed to the next team.

The idea was simple: take fewer projects, do them properly, tell clients the truth about what's realistic. That got us a reputation for actually delivering. Referrals did the rest.

Along the way we built Flow — our internal AI development platform. It runs under every project we deliver and is the main reason we can move faster than a traditional dev shop without cutting corners.

We're remote, we work with clients worldwide, and we still turn down more projects than we take. Not because we're trying to seem exclusive — because the only projects worth doing are ones we can do well.

How we make decisions

Nobody writes these for a brand workshop. These are the things we've had to decide repeatedly, so we wrote them down.

🎯

Outcome over output

We care about whether your business got what it needed, not whether we hit a sprint. If a project is going the wrong way, we say so — even when it's a hard conversation.

🔍

We don't pitch

The first call is a real conversation about whether we're the right fit — not a slide deck. We'd rather walk away from a deal than win it by telling you what you want to hear.

🏗️

Build to last

We write code as if we're handing it to a team we respect — because we are. Readable, tested, documented. If the next engineer curses our names, we did something wrong.

🤝

You own everything

Full IP transfer on payment. We don't use proprietary frameworks that only we can maintain. If you leave, you take everything with you and have no reason to come back except because the work was good.

Flow under everything

Every project runs on Flow. We built it ourselves, we use it on every engagement, and it's the reason we can quote timelines that other shops won't touch.

⚖️

Selective by design

We keep the active project list short. Every client gets a senior engineer who actually knows the codebase — we don't staff projects by whoever has a gap in their calendar.

We're always looking for good engineers

The problems are varied and technically interesting. If you care about code quality and want to work on real systems — not MVPs that get thrown away — have a look at what we do and get in touch.
